Unleashing the Power of Newtypes: A Gundam Enigma

Unlocking the Secrets of the Newtype

Challia Bull: The Enigmatic Force Behind the Gundam

In the midst of the ongoing conflict between the Earth Federation Forces and the Zeon homeland, a mysterious presence has emerged, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. This phenomenon is none other than Challia Bull, a Newtype with unparalleled abilities that have left even the most seasoned warriors bewildered.

The Solomon Enigma

General Revil has arrived at Solomon, a strategic base now under the control of the Earth Federation Forces. However, a sudden and inexplicable attack has taken place, with numerous Federation vessels and mobile suits being shot down without any visible enemy in sight. The mastermind behind this assault is Lalah, a skilled Newtype operating the mobile armor Elmeth, accompanied by Char’s Gelgoog on a remote asteroid.

The Unseen Enemy

Bright, commander of the White Base, is perplexed by the enemy’s elusive nature, with Marker unable to track their location. Mirai senses an otherworldly presence, as if something is beckoning them. Fraw alerts Bright to raise the combat status to level 1, prompting the deployment of the Gundam, Guncannon, and G-Fighter.

A New Challenger Emerges

Kycilia, determined to harness the power of Newtypes, assigns Challia Bull to the Braw Bro, alongside Lt. Simus. If Challia can demonstrate abilities surpassing Lalah’s, he will assume the role of Elmeth pilot. Char, intrigued by Challia’s potential, engages in a conversation with Dr. Flanagan about Lalah’s fatigue, which is attributed to her inability to control the Elmeth’s bits from a distance.

A Web of Intrigue

As Challia Bull and Simus report to Char, they meet Lalah, who is wary of Challia’s intentions. Char remains nonchalant, but Lalah’s concerns are palpable. Meanwhile, Amuro and his team are confronted by multiple mobile armors, forcing them to retreat. The Guncannon suffers a devastating blow, losing both its legs.

The Fallout

This episode marks a significant turning point in the series, as it was the last to air on Cartoon Network’s “Toonami” lineup before the events of September 11, 2001. The network would later air the final episode, Escape, during the “New Year’s Evil” countdown.
