MA-05 Bigro: The Mobile Armor of the Principality of Zeon

The MA-05 Bigro is a limited production assault space mobile armor developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. It was first piloted by Tokwan and later saw action in various battles throughout the war.

Design and Features

The Bigro is a large and imposing mobile armor, standing at 23.6 meters tall and weighing 229.8 metric tons. Its body is designed for high-speed combat, with a short and compact shape that allows for quick turns and agile movements. The armor is made of a super-hard steel alloy, providing excellent protection against enemy attacks.

The Bigro is powered by a Minovsky ultracompact fusion reactor, which generates 17,800 kW of power. This allows the mobile armor to achieve high speeds and maintain a high level of mobility. The reactor is also equipped with a Minovsky particle scattering system, which can jam enemy sensors and disrupt their ability to track the Bigro.

The mobile armor is armed with a variety of weapons, including a mega particle cannon mounted in the nose, two quadruple missile launchers, and two claw arms. The claw arms are equipped with three claws each and are capable of penetrating Luna Titanium alloy. The Bigro also features a pair of gatling cannons on its sides, which are used to attack fast-moving targets.

Combat History

The Bigro saw action in several battles during the One Year War, including the Battle of A Baoa Qu and the Battle of Solomon. It was often deployed as a high-speed attack unit, using its speed and agility to outmaneuver enemy mobile suits.

Variants

Several variants of the Bigro were developed during the war, including the MA-05R Big Ruf, MA-05Ad Big Rang, MA-05HG Buran, and MA-05M Bigro Meir. Each variant featured improvements and modifications to the original design, including upgraded armor and weapons.

Legacy

The MA-05 Bigro played a significant role in the One Year War, serving as a powerful and feared mobile armor in the Zeon arsenal. Its design and capabilities influenced the development of later mobile armors, and it remains an iconic symbol of the Principality of Zeon’s military power.
