Profile
Tex West, a 25-year-old human male from Earth, is a skilled MSZ-006C1 Zeta Plus C1 pilot in Task Force Alpha. Despite his tall and awkward physique, he exudes an easygoing demeanor, which often belies his exceptional piloting skills.
Personality & Character
Tex is a veteran of Karaba, but he doesn’t revel in conflict. Instead, he’s one of the most level-headed pilots in Task Force Alpha, always willing to follow orders and prioritize teamwork. His laid-back nature often leads to tardiness, but once in the cockpit, he proves to be a force to be reckoned with.
History
Gryps Conflict
Disillusioned with the Titans’ actions, Tex joined Karaba on Earth to fight for a just cause. Although not exceptional in any one aspect of combat, he served well and later joined the EFSF to support their more democratic policies.
Task Force Alpha
During the briefing prior to the assault on Pezun, Tex arrived late, but his tardiness was quickly forgotten as he demonstrated exceptional skill in following orders. Alongside Ryou Roots and Sigman Shade, he piloted the Zeta Plus Unit 1, accelerating to incredible velocities amidst heavy enemy fire.
As Task Force Alpha launched their second assault, Tex played a crucial role in driving off New Desides pilot Josh Offshore, saving Roots from certain defeat. He later helped Eton F. Heathrow and Mannings analyze New Desides’ tactics, ensuring the safety of their forces.
Throughout the battles on the moon, Tex faced numerous challenges, but his calm and collected nature allowed him to emerge unscathed. He criticized Mannings’ overuse of their squadron, but his concerns were soon overshadowed by the intense combat.
The Final Pursuit
As Task Force Alpha pursued New Desides to Penta, Tex flew the G-Bomber core block of the S Gundam. Upon boarding Admiral Brian Aeno’s flagship, the Bull Run, they received news of Stole Manning’s death. Tex intervened, stopping Roots from attacking Aeno and ensuring a peaceful surrender.
In the aftermath, Tex deployed with the others to stop the fleeing Enterprise Transport Shuttles. Although the mission was fraught with danger, Tex’s skills and composure helped bring the conflict to a close.
Legacy
Tex West’s unassuming nature belies his exceptional bravery and piloting skills. As a member of Task Force Alpha, he played a crucial role in shaping the course of the Gryps Conflict, and his legacy will be remembered for generations to come.
