Gundam’s Darkest Hour: Tragedy Strikes Jaburo

Tragedy Unfolds in Jaburo

The Gundam Saga Continues

As the White Base arrives in South America, the crew is met with a mix of wonder and unease. The majestic sight of a large group of butterflies fluttering by is a stark contrast to the grief-stricken Kai, still reeling from Miharu’s death. Meanwhile, Char’s Mad Angler squadron surfaces nearby, setting the stage for a tense confrontation.

Into the Heart of Jaburo

The White Base descends into the underground dock, disappearing from the Mad Angler’s radar. Char requests a thorough search of the area, suspecting that Jaburo’s main entrance may be hidden nearby. As the White Base undergoes repairs, technicians comment on the extensive damage and combat the ship has endured.

A New Mobile Suit Emerges

A Fat Uncle transport brings a new mobile suit, the Zock, to Char’s squadron. The Zock, along with other mobile suits, prepares to launch an advance attack on Jaburo. Meanwhile, Amuro and the children undergo physical exams, with Amuro subject to additional reviews of his brain waves.

Confronting the Past

Amuro meets with Lt. Woody, who shares stories of Matilda and their plans for a future together. Amuro is overcome with guilt, feeling responsible for Matilda’s death. Woody reassures him that he couldn’t have saved her, and that his skills as a pilot are not to blame.

The Federation’s Plan

White Base is ordered to operate as part of the Tienem fleet, with Admiral Gopp announcing that the crew won’t be punished for their actions. However, the Zeon attack interrupts the meeting, and the crew rushes to respond.

The Battle for Jaburo

The Zeon mobile suits launch a series of flares, which are confirmed by the Gaus. The Gaus retaliate with missiles, prompting the White Base crew to scramble to their mobile suits. Amuro, Sayla, and Kai engage the enemy, with Char emerging in a red Z’Gok. The battle rages on, with both sides suffering heavy losses.

A Hero Falls

As the fight reaches its climax, Lt. Woody sacrifices himself to protect the White Base. Amuro is left reeling, struggling to come to terms with the loss of another comrade.
