Revamped Rick-Dijeh: The MSK-008R Modified Gundam
Unit Profile
The MSK-008R Modified Rick-Dijeh is a custom-built mobile suit, derived from the MSK-008R Rick Dijeh. This revamped version was introduced in the manga series, Mobile Suit Moon Gundam. Following its intense battle with the MRX-013-3 Psycho Gundam Mk-IV G-Doors, the MSK-008R Rick Dijeh underwent significant repairs and upgrades, incorporating parts from the RGM-88X Jeddah.
Design and Features
The Modified Rick-Dijeh boasts a sleek, black, and gray color scheme, accentuating its “Gundam-like” appearance. By replacing the damaged shield-equipped shoulder armors with the Jeddah’s non-shield equipped shoulder armor, the mobile suit’s hit rate increased by 20%, while its arms’ reaction rate improved by nearly 15%. Additionally, on-site renovations were implemented before its deployment to the Ra-Zeime.
Armaments and Equipment
This mobile suit is equipped with a range of armaments, including:
- 2 x 60mm Vulcan Gun
- 2 x Beam Saber
- Beam Naginata
- BR-M-87 Beam Rifle
- FADEGEL RGM-M-Sh-003 Shield
- Hyper Mega Launcher (optional)
- Clay Bazooka (optional)
The Modified Rick-Dijeh also features a pair of binders, inherited from the Rick Dijeh, which function as vernier thrusters with propellant tanks, capable of Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC).
Combat History
The Modified Rick-Dijeh played a significant role in the battle against the AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam, after Reuss Krangel coerced Jutta Qasim by threatening to detonate poison bombs aboard the Ra-Gills. Later, it teamed up with the Moon Gundam to disable the poison bombs and subsequently lost its arm while fighting the AMX-015-4S Dag Doll. After sustaining irreparable damage, the Modified Rick-Dijeh was replaced by the RGM-88X Jeddah, and Amuro handed its intended replacement, the RGZ-91X Re-GZID, to Saphira Gardner.
