Unveiling the Enigmatic Four Murasame: A Cyber Newtype’s Turbulent Quest

The Enigmatic Four Murasame: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Cyber Newtype

Profile

Four Murasame, a 16-year-old girl with emerald green hair and eyes, is a Cyber Newtype from the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Born on June 29, 0071 (U.C.), she is affiliated with the Earth Federation Forces and has a complex history that shrouds her true identity.

The Tragic Past

After the One Year War, Four lost her family and was adopted by the Murasame Research Lab. The scientists erased her memories, giving her the name “Four” and training her to become an artificial Newtype. Namicar Cornell, her nurse, manipulated her into believing that working with the Titans and fighting the AEUG was the only way to recover her memories. This led to Four developing immense psychic powers and mecha piloting skills, but at the cost of severe brain damage and painful headaches.

The Fateful Encounter

During a stroll in New Hong Kong, Four met AEUG pilot Kamille Bidan, unaware of his true identity. They shared a romantic moment, and Kamille showed her kindness, making her feel seen as a person for the first time. However, when the truth about Kamille was revealed, Four chose to pilot the Psycho Gundam and attack him, driven by her desire to regain her memories.

The Turbulent Journey

After the battle, Four helped Kamille escape, but was presumed killed in an explosion. However, she survived and was taken to the Titans’ Kilimanjaro base, where she underwent further experiments to enhance her powers. When Kamille discovered her alive, Four’s brainwashing and mental instability led her to fight against him once more. In the end, she sacrificed herself to save Kamille from Jerid Messa’s attack, dying in his arms.

Legacy

Four’s spirit appeared alongside other characters in the final battle against the Titans, helping Kamille fight Scirocco. Later, she protected Judau Ashta from Haman Karn during the First Neo Zeon War. Her legacy continues to inspire, and her story serves as a testament to the complexities of human identity and the consequences of playing with the fabric of humanity.

Four Murasame has appeared in various media, including television, movies, OVAs, manga, novels, and games. Her character has been voiced by Saeko Shimazu and Yukana Nogami in Japanese, and Carol-Anne Day in English.
