The Federation and Zeon forces engage in a fierce battle on the surface of the water, setting the tone for the rest of the episode.
A Spy Among Them
Char receives a message from Boone, revealing the presence of a spy on board the Trojan Horse. Miharu, Kai’s acquaintance, sneaks into Bright’s room, searching for information to pass on to Boone. However, Kai discovers her and, sensing her true intentions, decides to hide her in his room. Amuro soon finds out about Miharu’s presence, and Kai is forced to concoct a story to protect her.
Battle on the Horizon
Boone, driven by a desire for revenge, takes off in the Grabro, supported by two Z’Goks. The White Base detects the approaching Zeon forces and prepares for battle. Sayla and Amuro decide to use the Gundam and G-Fighter to counter the attack. As the battle rages on, Boone successfully hits the White Base with missiles, prompting Kai to bring Miharu a lifevest.
Desperate Measures
Miharu, feeling guilty for putting the crew in danger, begs Kai to let her help. Despite his initial reluctance, Kai agrees, and Miharu follows him to the dock. As the Gundam and G-Fighter launch, Amuro searches for the enemy and fires into the water. The Grabro spots the Gundam, and Hayato heads out on the Core Fighter to provide support.
Tragedy Strikes
Boone shoots out another missile, hitting the G-Fighter. Fraw loses contact with the Gundam, and Amuro realizes he needs to lead the enemy to the surface. As the battle intensifies, Miharu helps Kai fire missiles from the Gunperry. However, a Z’Gok damages the electrical circuit, rendering the missiles inoperable. Miharu bravely decides to fire the missile manually, but the force of the blast causes her to fall off the Gunperry to her death.
