Moon Attack: A Turning Point in the Battle for Von Braun City
In the midst of the ongoing conflict, the Earth Federation Government General Assembly is on the brink of a major decision. Meanwhile, aboard the Radish, Captain Bekkener and Mr. Wong engage in a tense discussion about the impending operations on the moon. Quattro, ever the pragmatist, expresses his concerns about the Titans’ plans, but Wong remains adamant that he should focus on protecting Commodore Blex.
A Glimpse into the Minds of War
As the Radish approaches the Argama, Emma stumbles upon Kamille cleaning his quarters. In a rare moment of introspection, Kamille reveals the weight of his responsibilities as a pilot, confessing that he prays for the lives of those he has taken, despite not being religious. Fa, who has been quietly observing their conversation, is deeply moved by Kamille’s words.
The Stage is Set for Operation Apollo
Scirocco, the cunning and ruthless commander of the Dogosse Giar, reviews the battle plan with his crew. His strategy is to attack first, using the Dogosse Giar as a shield, while Commander Jamaican at the Alexandria plans to use Scirocco’s ship as a decoy. The tension is palpable as Scirocco goads Jerid about his past failures, prompting him to storm out of the meeting.
The Battle for Von Braun City Begins
As the enemy fleet approaches, Quattro launches in the Hyaku Shiki, ready to defend the city. The Dogosse Giar fires warning shots, and the pilots of the Argama scramble to respond. Scirocco’s plan becomes clear: he intends to move ahead of the fleet, leaving the Alexandria to deal with the AEUG, while using Jerid and his unit as decoys to secure the city.
A Desperate Defense
Kamille and Quattro face off against Jerid and Mouar, who is shocked to discover that Jerid knew about Scirocco’s plan all along. A wounded Jerid fires aimlessly at Kamille and Quattro, forcing them to retreat. Mouar watches in silence, her loyalty torn between her comrades and her duty.
Scirocco’s Masterstroke
Scirocco secures the city, threatening to destroy it unless the AEUG agrees to a ceasefire. The AEUG is forced to retreat, and Jamaican is left fuming. However, Scirocco’s calm demeanor and feigned ignorance convince Jamaican to let him take control of the city. Unbeknownst to Jamaican, Scirocco has greater plans in store, biding his time until the perfect moment to strike.
Aftermath
Jerid is taken to the infirmary, with Mouar by his side. At the Argama, Fa struggles to come to terms with her limitations as a pilot, but her comrades offer words of encouragement. The reality, however, is that Operation Apollo has been a success, and Von Braun City is now under Titans’ control. The stage is set for a new era of conflict, as the AEUG regroups and prepares to counterattack.
