Unit Overview

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor is a prototype general-purpose mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation. This versatile machine is designed for combat in various environments and can be equipped with additional armaments to enhance its attack power.

Design and Features

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor has a head height of 19.2 meters and a maximum weight of 88.5 metric tons. Its power plant is a Minovsky ultracompact fusion reactor, which provides 1580 kW of power. The suit’s armor is made of Luna Titanium, and it has a sensor range of 8000 meters.

Armaments

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor is equipped with a variety of armaments, including two Vulcan guns, two beam sabers, a short beam rifle, and a shield. Optional armaments include two Gatling smashers, two missile launchers, and an assault cannon.

Special Equipment and Features

The suit can be equipped with a parachute pack, which allows it to perform paradrop missions from the Medea transport plane. The pack contains three parachutes and four thrusters to ensure a safe descent.

History

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor was first assigned to the Earth Federation’s Phantom Sweep Team in U.C. 0081. Its initial pilot was Cherie Allison, but after she was discovered to be a Zeon spy, the suit was reassigned to Robert Hartley. Amuro Ray later used the suit in a simulator training exercise.

Variations and Appearances

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor has appeared in various forms of media, including the manga Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Define and the video game Mobile Suit Gundam: Battlefield Record U.C. 0081. It has also been redesigned by Hajime Katoki for the latter.

A 1/144 scale model of the RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor is available as a P-Bandai exclusive release.

Notes and Trivia

The RX-81ST G-Line Standard Armor was originally introduced in M-MSV as the RX-81ST Standard. It is one of several variations of the RX-81 G-Line mobile suit.
