In the year UC 0093, the Earth Federation and Neo Zeon are at war. Char Aznable, a legendary mobile suit pilot, has declared war on the Earth Federation, seeking to drop a massive asteroid called Axis onto the planet. The story follows Amuro Ray, a veteran pilot of the Earth Federation, as he tries to stop Char and prevent a catastrophic nuclear winter.

Plot

The movie begins with Chan Agi, an officer of the Earth Federation, examining the RX-93 ν Gundam at Anaheim Electronics’ factory on the Moon. Meanwhile, Char Aznable declares war on the Earth Federation and begins to drop the asteroid Fifth Luna onto the city of Lhasa, the site of the EFF headquarters.

Amuro Ray, piloting the RGZ-91 Re-GZ, engages Char’s MSN-04 Sazabi in battle, but is unable to stop the asteroid from crashing into Lhasa. The asteroid’s impact causes massive destruction and loss of life.

As the war escalates, Amuro and his allies, including Bright Noa and Kayra Su, launch a counterattack against Neo Zeon’s forces. Meanwhile, Quess Paraya, the daughter of a Federation official, becomes embroiled in the conflict and begins to develop her own Newtype abilities.
