The MS-09RS Rick Dom: A Powerful Variant of the Rick Dom

The MS-09RS Rick Dom is a limited production space mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. This variant of the Rick Dom was designed to test the capabilities of mobile suit-portable beam weapons, featuring an enhanced generator output and upgraded thrusters.

Design and Features

The MS-09RS Rick Dom boasts a modified chest-mounted scattering beam cannon, which serves as an energy buffer to reduce the strain on the supply connectors inside its arms. This allows the mobile suit to utilize the high-powered Ex-T3-2 Beam Bazooka. The suit is also equipped with a heat saber, beam saber, and MMP-78/WG 120mm machine gun.

Pilots and Appearances

The MS-09RS Rick Dom has been piloted by two notable characters: Anavel Gato and Char Aznable. Gato’s custom Rick Dom was featured in the Battle of Solomon, where it dealt significant damage to the Earth Federation Forces. Char’s custom Rick Dom, on the other hand, was showcased in various games and media, including Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. ENGAGE.

History

The MS-09RS Rick Dom was developed at A Baoa Qu, where many Rick Doms were modified to improve their performance specs. The suit’s body block structure, which separates the body into generator block, chest, and waist, made it easier to maintain and upgrade.
