Shin Crypt: The Fearless FA-010A FAZZ Pilot
A Hot-Headed Hero
Shin Crypt, a 22-year-old human pilot, is known for his fearless attitude and hot-headed nature. As a member of Task Force Alpha, he pilots the FA-010A FAZZ with precision and skill. But what drives this young pilot to take risks and push himself to the limit?
A Complex Personality
Despite his bold exterior, Shin Crypt has a complex personality. He’s not a trying person, but rather someone who enjoys getting into fights and challenging others. This trait often leads him to provoke his fellow pilot, Ryou Roots, who is equally hot-headed. Their rivalry is a key aspect of their friendship, and it’s a dynamic that only they can understand.
A History of Conflict
Shin Crypt’s history is marked by conflict and drama. He first encountered Ryou Roots in UC 0085, and their initial meeting ended in a fistfight. Despite this, they developed a strong bond, with Crypt often outperforming Roots in simulations. However, his tendency to die in simulations earned him constant chiding from Roots.
The Battle of Pezun
During the attack on Pezun, Shin Crypt and Robert Aldrin opened fire with their Hyper Mega Cannons, but they soon ran out of ammo. Crypt’s frustration grew when he was denied the opportunity to lead the next sortie. This decision sparked anger and a desire for revenge.
A Doomed Battle
Crypt’s FAZZ unit engaged in a doomed battle against Brave Cod’s Gundam Mk V. Despite being outgunned, he managed to force Cod to retreat, but not before his machine was destroyed, and he was forced to eject. The loss of his fellow pilots, Robert Aldrin and John Grissom, left him grief-stricken.
Redemption and Revenge
When Ryou Roots killed Brave Cod at Ayers City, Shin Crypt thanked him for taking revenge. Later, during a meal with Roots and Tex West, Crypt criticized Root’s motives, sparking a heated discussion about the nature of killing. This conversation revealed the complexities of their relationships and the moral implications of their actions.
The Final Battle
In the last battle against New Desides, Shin Crypt was assigned to the G-Attacker. When the enemy surrendered, he was present on the bridge with West and Roots, learning of Stole Mannings’ death. As Roots reacted with anger, West intervened, and Crypt helped restrain him.
A Hero’s Legacy
Shin Crypt’s bravery and skill ultimately led to the defeat of the New Desides Enterprise Transport Shuttles. As the S Gundam combined, Crypt focused on attacking the Zoan, but ALICE took control, forcing him to watch from the sidelines. In the end, Crypt emerged victorious, relieved to see Sigman Shade waiting for them on the Karaba Garuda Transport Plane. His legacy as a fearless pilot was cemented, and his name became synonymous with bravery and skill.
