Uncovering the Hidden Gems of Gundam Age
As fans of the Gundam franchise, we often overlook certain series, deeming them unworthy of our attention. But what if I told you that one such series, Gundam Age, holds secrets and stories waiting to be uncovered?
A Guilty Pleasure with a Rich History
Gundam Age may not have been a commercial success, but it remains an integral part of Level 5’s history. Despite its shortcomings, the series has a unique charm that sets it apart from other Gundam installments. As a self-proclaimed fan, I’m determined to dig deeper and uncover the truth behind this often-maligned series.
The Mysterious Cancellation
Rumors surround the show’s abrupt cancellation, with some attributing it to dismal ratings, while others claim that Sunrise’s focus on Unicorn led to its demise. Whatever the reason, one thing is certain – the series was meant to run for a year and a half, leaving many questions unanswered.
Piecing Together the Puzzle
To truly understand Gundam Age, I’ve embarked on a mission to translate the manga, novels, and even the PSP game. By doing so, I hope to recreate the original vision of the series and uncover the secrets that lie within. The journey begins with the discovery of rare RAW files, including:
- Gundam Age First Evolution vol.1-3
- Gundam Age Second Evolution vol.1-2
- Gundam Age Final Evolution
- Gundam Age Novel 1-5
- Wedding Eve Cd Drama (bonus)
The Quest for High-Quality Images
Unfortunately, some manga volumes, such as Treasure Star, Climax Hero, and Sid, are only available in physical format. To overcome this hurdle, I’ll need to acquire a high-quality scanner to digitize the images.
Unraveling the Mystery of Production
Information about the production of Gundam Age is scarce and often contradictory. I’m determined to uncover the truth behind the series’ development, including the role of Hino and the staff of Level 5. One thing is certain – the production was marked by uncertainty, with decisions often made on a whim.
