When Char Aznable launched a surprise attack on Side 7, Cassius sprang into action, manning a cannon despite the danger. Unfortunately, he was struck by shrapnel and severely injured. Refusing to give up, he continued to command the White Base, relying on the assistance of Bright Noa. This bravery in the face of adversity earned him the respect and admiration of his crew.
A Final Stand
After the White Base arrived at Luna II, Cassius convinced Commandant Wakkein to allow them to fight off Char’s forces. Though his health was deteriorating, he remained steadfast in his duty. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries soon after, and the crew held a solemn funeral for him, ejecting his body into space.

In the manga series “MSV-R Legend of the Universal Century Heroes: The Fabulous Shin Matsunaga,” Cassius played a crucial role in preventing Zeon from attacking Earth from the Aires City Mass Driver on the Moon.
