Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081 -The Wrath of Varuna-
In the year Universal Century 0081, the world is still reeling from the aftermath of the Battle of A Baoa Qu. Although the war has officially ended, small-scale battles continue to erupt across the globe as Zeon remnants refuse to surrender. To counter this threat, the Earth Federation establishes an elite unit known as the Phantom Sweep Corps, led by Hugues Courand. Their mission: to hunt down and eliminate the remaining Zeon forces.
The Invisible Knights
However, a team of Zeon forces, known as the Invisible Knights, stands in their way. Led by Erik Blanke, this group is determined to resist the Earth Federation’s efforts and continue the fight for Zeon’s independence. As tensions escalate, the two forces clash in a series of intense battles that will decide the fate of the world.
The Story Unfolds
The manga, illustrated by Hiroki Matsumoto and based on a story by Kouki Matsumoto (NBGI), debuted in the August 2009 issue of Gundam Ace. It was later released in four volumes by Kadokawa Shoten. The story is an adaptation of the video game of the same title and offers a unique perspective on the Universal Century timeline.
Characters and Mobile Suits
The series features a diverse cast of characters, including Hugues Courand, Cherie Allison, and Liang Mao from the Earth Federation Forces, as well as Erik Blanke, Ailos Bade, and Estelle Firine from the Principality of Zeon Army. The mobile suits that take center stage in the battles include the RAG-79 Aqua GM, RGM-79 GM, and RX-78-2 Gundam from the Earth Federation, and the MS-05B Zaku I, MS-06F Zaku II, and MS-14A Gelgoog from Zeon.
