Guidelines
The “Priorities” section contains unmarked spoilers, as do individual pages as they are worked on. Ensure articles are written in a formal, encyclopedic style, avoiding casual and subjective language. Make sure article content is grammatical and stylized appropriately.
Verify information listed or described by sourcing whenever possible. Avoid unsourced and speculative information, which can lead to inaccuracies and rumors.
Characters
Character details, personalities, and histories should be based on the show first and foremost, followed by guidebooks and audio dramas. Avoid basing details on voice actor interviews or discussions, although notes about them can be included in “Trivia” sections when discussing character performance.
Write personality sections in the present tense and history sections in the past tense. Keep details specific to each character’s involvement in events, even if it means omitting some context.
Add “romantic interests” for characters, but be reasonable and mature about it. Focus on direct and acknowledged relationships in the show.
Use the “affinity” tag in the info box for Earthian, Spacian, Mercurian, Half-Earthian, and similar designations.
Trivia should include factoids directly confirmed by the show or its production. Avoid subjective statements like “This character is similar to X from Y series” or “fans say.”
Character Sections
- Personality and Character: Describe personality traits in the present tense.
- History: Describe the character’s history in chronological order in the show’s timeline, using the past tense.
- Character Relations (Tentative): Describe relationships with others, both platonic and romantic, using the past tense.
Mechanics and Nicknames
After episode airings, mechanic designers often post about their work on Twitter, sometimes retweeted by the main G-Witch account. Cite individual acknowledgments as design credits for mechanics, but only use official screenshots and design sketches, not fan art.
Images
Avoid uploading images with watermarks. Preferably use screencaps from the Crunchyroll stream, which can be replaced later with better sources.
Embed images in article text to make them more visually informative. Use embedded images in the History section, one maximum per subsection. Other images are better suited for the gallery.
Twitter Images and Doujin
Images uploaded to the wiki should meet Fair Use guidelines and serve the articles. Twitter art, like Ippei Gyobu sketches or Mogumo sketches, is a gray area between official and unofficial and does not add much to an article’s content. Cite tweets to credit designers, but avoid uploading images on article pages.
Episodes
Appearances and terminology trackers are updated by admins as episodes air. Summaries are a lower priority, but will have more detailed recommendations later.
Dub Differences and Continuity Notes
Note noteworthy changes in the English dub beyond mere phrasing differences under “dub differences” in an episode’s trivia section. Continuity notes should denote specific callbacks or details from prior episodes that are not immediately obvious.
Events
All duels and armed conflicts will be categorized using respective templates. For events that do not fall under either page, include them in the History sections of relevant groups.
Priorities
All articles are updated as the show continues airing, but many are still stubs that need completing. The full list of characters and mechanics is on the Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury main page.
Characters, Factions, Events, and Other
Organize articles into broad priority groupings, focusing on main characters, CEOs, the Earth House, Earth Witches, Jeturk Students, Grassley Pilots, Dueling Committee, and assorted minor characters.
Mobile Weapons and Factions
Organize mobile weapons and factions into respective categories, including Shin Sei Development Corporation, Jeturk Heavy Machinery, Peil Technologies, Grassley Defense Systems, Burion, Ochs Earth Corporation, and others.
Events and Other
Organize events into duels, conflicts, and other categories, including the Vanadis Incident, Plant Quetta Incident, Asticassia Massacre, and others.
