The RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom is a cutting-edge mobile suit designed by Mika Akitaka, part of Char’s Counterattack Mobile Suit Variations. This custom variant of the RGZ-91 Re-GZ boasts advanced features and powerful armaments, making it a formidable opponent on the battlefield.

Development and Design

Developed from the RGZ-91 Re-GZ, the Re-GZ Custom was designed with Amuro Ray in mind. Its development led to the creation of the Engage Gundam BWS Equipment. Anaheim Electronics, a renowned manufacturer, produced this prototype mobile suit.

History and Appearances

The RGZ-91B was developed specifically for Amuro Ray, but the project was shelved with the completion of the RX-93 ν Gundam. The Re-GZ Custom has appeared in various media, including Gundam War card game, SD Gundam G Generation Genesis video game, and XBoost.

Gunpla and Gashapon

The RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom has been featured in various Gunpla models, including the 1/100 MG RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom (P-Bandai exclusive; 2019) and the SDGG RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom (1999). Additionally, it has appeared in Gashapon releases, such as the Re-GZ Custom Next and Metallic version.

Trivia and Notes

• Designer Mika Akitaka noted that the addition of a traditional Gundam-type head was due to the Re-GZ Custom being intended for Amuro Ray’s use.
• The Beam Assault Rifle resembles the Kalashnikov series of automatic rifles, earning it the nickname “Gopnik Gundam.”
• In SD Gundam: G-Generation Overworld, the Re-GZ Custom is equipped with a Biosensor similar to that of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam.
